The Boat

Divers aboard Island Safari 2 Royal enjoy two or three dives each day, plus at least one night dive per week. All dives are taken from the dive Dhoni, an auxiliary boat that travels alongside Island Safari 2 Royal. All the dive equipment is stored aboard the Dhoni, making your diving safari comfortable and easy, and maintaining the guests’ comfort on the main ship. The dive sites visited from Island Safari 2 Royal depend on the season in which you visit, but rest assured Island Safari 2 Royal’s experienced dive guides, instructors and divemasters will take you to the best dive sites possible, to ensure you see all the amazing marine life for which the islands of the Maldives are so very famous. Most guests on Island Safari 2 Royal report seeing Reef Sharks, Whale Sharks, Manta Rays, Eels, and a whole spectrum of interesting reef fish and small macro life. An initial check-dive is held with all guests on the Island Safari 2 Royal Liveaboard to refresh your diving knowledge and ensure the crew are fully aware of your diving abilities. Nitrox Diving is available on board Island Safari 2 Royal at an additional cost and PADI-certified courses can also be held as long as you book these in advance. Dive equipment can also be rented at an additional cost, but again, this should be booked in advance.
